Assessing your needs
We arrange an initial meeting on farm at no cost to yourselves where we look at:
Calibre and experience of herdsperson required
Facilities and accommodation for our herdsperson
Business outlook for the future

Current performance figures

Type of contract best suited to your particular unit This can range from a 260 to 365 day contract. This is usually determined by the availability of relief labour on the farm.

Using this information we are then able to draw up a draft schedule, looking to the long term, incorporating all the necessary duties and responsibilities that our herdsperson would undertake.

How it works

Our contracts are operated on a self-employed basis that is recognised by both the Inland Revenue and DWP. The cost will be set at the beginning of the contract term and reviewed annually.

Suitable unfurnished accommodation supplied either on a shorthold tenancy, or rent free to the herdsperson being an essential requirement. This property will generally remain council tax free to our herdspeople. As a sub contractor to Sixty Seven Cow the herdsperson is paid by us on a monthly basis. The Farmer is invoiced accordingly.

Consequently you will be released from the usual obligations of an employer such as:
No overtime costs
Tax and NI
Sickness Benefit
Holiday Pay
Redundancy Costs
